Keep status items you check frequently in the visible group.
Always hide
Keep an occasional item tucked until you explicitly need it.
Refresh the scan
Rescan after installing, quitting, or updating an app that owns menu bar items.
What Rules Mode adds
Rules Mode is a Pro feature. It applies app-specific visibility choices when the selected app is active, then returns to the default behavior when that context changes.
Configure a rule
- Open Settings and choose Rules.
- Scan for applications if the list is stale.
- Select an app and choose the desired default behavior.
- Review the discovered menu bar items and their visibility choices.
- Switch between apps to verify the rule changes only the intended group.
Important limits
macOS may expose several items from one app as a group, and some Apple controls cannot be managed independently. Tuck shows the behavior it can discover; it does not promise control over every system item.
